A family in Madison, near Edgewood, is in need of a part-time nanny to care for their three children, ages 3, 6, and 7. The schedule will be Tuesdays 8am-4pm, Wednesdays 8am-1pm, and Thursdays 8am-4pm. They may possibly need help on Fridays also from 8am-1pm. In the summer, the position could possibly be full-time. During the day, in the school year, the nanny will primarily be caring for the 3 year old boy until the older children come home from school. The family would like a nanny that can engage the children in activities and encourage imagination and creativity. They would also like the children to have a lot of outside play when possible and for the nanny to accompany them on adventures. They would also like a nanny that is comfortable with driving with the children. The family will provide a van for the nanny to use when driving with the children. They would like a nanny that has a somewhat flexible schedule. They are hoping to hire a nanny that can stay with them for a couple years. They would like to offer a retention bonus every 6 months for a nanny that is reliable, trustworthy, and dedicated to their family. The bonus may be in the form of an hourly pay increase or offering paid sick days. The pay starts at $12/hour; they are definitely negotiable on the rate depending on experience, qualifications, and the right fit. They are hoping to have a nanny start on February 22.
