A family on the West side of Madison, near Verona, is seeking a part-time, after-school nanny to care for their two children, a boy (5), and a girl (3). The schedule needed is Monday through Friday 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm during the school year, and they would love it if the nanny could work full-time in the summer. They are a very close family that loves playing together. They embrace imaginative play, role playing, reading, building with Legos, artistic endeavors of any sort, music, and dancing. They are seeking a nanny that is reliable, trustworthy, responsible, and an excellent communicator. In terms of engaging with the children, the ideal candidate is patient, creative with activities, strives to find imaginative play to guide the children, and is extremely aware of safety and healthy habits. They are also seeking a nanny with a safe driving record and a safe, insured vehicle. It would be a plus if the nanny is able to swim. The duties of the nanny include picking up the children from kindergarten and preschool, bringing the children home in the afternoon, playing with the children, washing their lunch dishes, helping to prepare dinner, and helping with the children’s laundry when time permits. Occasionally, the nanny may need to take the children to dancing or swimming lessons after school. The family is offering gas mileage reimbursement and is willing to pay for the nanny’s CPR and First Aid training. They are offering approximately $15-17 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and the right fit. This position begins at the beginning of September. They would love to have the nanny stay with them for years, but they will at least need the nanny to stay with them through the school year.
